Customer Reviews: Sturdy but....March 2, 2010 Ingrid Jane(Carmichael, Ca) This is a real deal monetarily wise. However, despite of how sturdy its major parts, the parts (screws) used at the bottom to keep it steady would not stay in its place. Assembling the major parts was real easy. I gave this only one star because I have spent over two hours trying to figure out how on earth the screws would stay in place. It kept coming off from both ends. The manufacturer could have had a better/functional screws. I wish I have not purchased this. Now I'm out $8.
Good weight, but not worth all the troubleJuly 9, 2009 Gertrude, the Bad Queen(If it's still summer, Lake Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If they were going to write bad directions for putting this thing together, the least they could have done is make a nice exploded picture. As it is, the written directions were nonsense and the parts were not labeled like on the picture. If you have five pieces that are essentially the same, then you shouldn't name two of them B and the others E, C, and F unless you're going to put a sticker on them identifying which is which. Obviously, I am not a handyman but it took ten minutes to put it together twice, once the wrong way and once the right way.
When it is together, the most obvious flaw is that a sloppiness in the design causes it not to be decorative at all. Look at the left and right sides on the bottom. The designer inexplicably did not close the edges. The front and back pieces should have been enlarged to encapsulate those open sides. It makes the design look sloppy.
On the other hand, it is heavy and sturdy. That was worth three stars. I didn't buy it to be decorative. I bought it in a lightning deal because the price was all right and I'm still trying to get my desk cleared off.

Just got this in a Lightning Deal for <$20. I don't think I'd pay anything close to the regular price. Parts were well packaged, heavy, painted metal. Assembly was a little puzzling, but once you knew the reasoning, went quickly and easily. The rivets used are the type used to join car panels. You put them in the hole, press the head and they spread apart, holding securely. Maybe you'd have a problem if you did it wrong, but know what you're doing and it will go together fine.
I am pleased with this purchase for the price I paid. For $40 go to Staples and get 5 cheaper ones instead.
Nice once assembled, assembly is really bad!!!June 10, 2009 J. Kelley(Phoenix, AZ United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a handy man and it took almost an hour to put this thing together with extra parts not included. The plastic "rivets" included have no holding strength at all. When your putting one in, 2 or 3 pop out. These are supposed to keep this thing functional. I used a stove bolt kit to hold the dividers in place, now it's indestructible. Save yourself some money and get the cheap one from walmart. I got this one on the daily deal, still to much for the pain it was to assemble.
