Product Description This 15 inch high desk lamp uses a 13 watt GU24 base compact fluorescent to deliver 800 lumens of light, making it a good 60 watt incandescent equivalent. It has a metallic brushed silver finish. The on/off switch is an inline switch on the cord.
Design Flaw In SwitchJune 27, 2010 Scott E. Bruneau(Ypsilanti, MI USA) It works good for a few months then the tumbler switch that cheap piece of ---t for an on off switch shorts out. They need to put a more basic button or other switch in the base of it, NOT this THING in the power cord. BAD idea!
Beware...

I like this lamp. Energy savings is a plus but I really like the design. Kind of like the old school 60s stuff you used to see (and probably sometimes still do). Not so retro that it will go out of style anytime soon either.
A nice, basic lamp. If you're looking for something that is more functional than flashy, this is a winner.

Came faster than expected and is even better than I hoped. Brand new as advertised.

Small, compact, but very bright light. A pleasure to use, especially on a small desk.
Function ok, aesthetics not so goodNovember 14, 2009 padawan(baltimore, md, usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The lamp works and I haven't found the light to be too dim. The box says the lightbulb included will work for years and the replacement is $6.66 in Amazon, so the unusual ballast of the bulb shouldn't be a problem. My only complaint is its appearance. The color makes the metal look more like cheap plastic, and it isn't appealing. I have a very similar lamp bought at Walmart for the same price, and the finish is brushed chrome... what a difference!
