5 out of 5 stars Love this keyboard   July 21, 2010
    Betmatrho
Absolutely love this keyboard - flat little keyboards are a joke after using this keyboard.

1 out of 5 stars terrible space key   July 20, 2010
    Neoflash
This keyboard is excellent except for the space key, which is used the most.

The issue is that this key doesn't push down without large force. My fingers get tired quickly with keep pushing this space key. Sometimes I had to use both my fingers to push it. It also makes noise when you push it.

After 1-2 days trial, my finger's muscle gets tired and never want to use it anymore.

4 out of 5 stars You'll notice it when you don't have it   July 19, 2010
    R. Fidler (Phoenix, AZ)
I had one of these keyboards (this is my second) and only bought another as I accidentally spilled coffee on the first one, causing some of the keys to stop working. I don't really notice the "funky" shape of this keyboard until I'm without it, then I realize how much of a pain in the butt typing on a normal "square" keyboard is - I'll never go back.

The only thing I don't like is the F1-F5 grouping, I'm used to the first bank of function keys ending at F4, so that's a bit of a pain but I got used to it eventually.

4 out of 5 stars Great, until it meets a world full of liquid   July 15, 2010
    Lucern
I have owned two of these in the past 4 years. The first one lasted, and it did its job well. I play games with it with the best of them, and I type on it heavily throughout the day when I'm not. After four years, a couple of letters rubbed off, and the keys make slightly more noise than they used to. The second one I owned for less than a week. Water killed both of them. It's hot up here, and I admit this is my fault entirely. However, durability is fair game in the realm of human usage. I have performed two autopsies on these keyboards, and I've found the flaw that makes them so vulnerable to liquid. You see the gull shape of the keys, the very one that alleviates wrist pain that should probably be mandatory for all keyboards? Well its construction has these three gaps in it on each side where the 'gull' plate is attached to the flat rest of the keyboard, for reasons beyond my comprehension. Thanks to these gaps, any liquid in the world, once it's on your RT/FG or YU/HJ area, because of the arc of the plastic, will then roll right down into the circuit board. The circuit board will fry if the keyboard was plugged in. And c'mon, of course it was! I'm typing this review on an ancient Dell keyboard that only reminds me of my stupidity for destroying 2 far superior keyboards. I'll probably get another 4000 and a water bottle, but I wanted to note this imperfection for others to see. If they had a molding of the plastic plate that had no gaps, this keyboard would be nigh invulnerable.

If you can resist imbibing the liquids of the world while you work and play, this keyboard is actually the best I've ever used. Just know that you're one drop away from a $50 replacement.

4 out of 5 stars Spacebar sucks, but   July 14, 2010
    Cyber Monkey (Atlanta, GA)
I wish I had read the other negative reviews. I've had the same microsoft natural keyboard for the past 10 years and it's worked great and still works. I saw this one with its lift up in the front and bought one to see if it would help my wrists more.

I love the feel of this keyboard, all of the keys are quiet and feel softer than my old one... except for the space bar. It clanks when I hit it and if I hit the edge of either side it won't move. I really with the space bar wasn't like that.

Update.. I originally gave this 2 stars but I changed it to 4 stars to reflect the fact that I've kept it and the spacebar doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. There seems to be modification for it on-line to address the loud clanky space bar. I might try it later and see if it makes it as quiet as the other keys.

You really can't get a better ergonomic keyboard for the money.
